The year after, I opened the recital with a classical piece, Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker. I was very nervous when Natali told me she wanted me to open the recital, but I’m so glad she gave me this opportunity and pushed me out of my comfort zone because she knew that I could handle it. In my final year with Natali I was occupied with college applications, and I decided to take a short break from piano so I could focus on finishing applications. I am beyond grateful to Natali for understanding and still challenging me to strive to perform better when I began lessons again a month later. I felt so honored when Natali asked me to close the recital this year especially because I was playing another jazz piece which is what genre I performed at my first piano recital with her. I also tried something new at this year’s recital by playing piano and singing along. I was so excited that Natali gave me the chance and encouraged me to share the piece with everyone. The last five years have been truly rewarding with Natali as my piano and flute teacher and I hope I can continue to spread the things I have learned from Natali and share the appreciation of music we both have.

I’m so lucky to have found Natali five years ago when I was preparing for my honor band flute audition. With guidance and instruction from Natali, I was able to secure a spot in the district’s Honor Band. From there, I played a flute duet with Natali at her annual student recital. After witnessing the recital, I was inspired to start playing piano again after taking a break from it previously. The next year, I performed at Natali’s recital with a piece that I was most comfortable playing, Misty. I’m thankful that Natali encouraged me to play a jazz piece at my first recital with her because it sparked my love of that genre. The following year, my sister, Olivia, began playing piano again because she saw that it was a way to escape her studies for a few minutes and enjoy learning from a piano teacher again. Olivia and I couldn’t attend the recital, so we had a few friends over for a mini recital where she played a piece while I sang along. Natali was extremely open to trying this and helped Olivia transpose and make adjustments to the piece so we could perform it together to the best of our ability.

Natali taught me for years. I came to her not being able to read a note or even play a scale on the piano. I can now open a book and sit to practice a new song. I have grown so much with Natali. I will never forget her. I might plan to re join her in the future for some touch up!!!

As a student of Natali for eleven years, I have grown tremendously. She has not only taught me how to play piano with great proficiency and expression, but also helped me discover a true love of playing music. Even beyond music, I have learned from Natali the benefits of dedication and practice. She is very motivating, and sets high but ultimately attainable standards for her students. Over my decade with Natali, she has become more than a teacher to me; she is also a true role model and a friend. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to study piano.

Natali is so lovely and has such a great connection with her students. My son has been taking lessons with her for 4 years and has shown incredible progress with her guidance. Natali has such a gift for being soft-spoken and patient but yet firm and challenging. She expects nothing but the best from her students and in turn that is what they give her. I would recommend her to anyone!
